The Power of Listening: 5 Compelling Reasons Why Parents Are Embracing Audio Books

A quick test! How can the following tasks be completed with the click of a button:

Give your children reading instruction?

increase the vocabulary?

Help them to quietly (and freely) sit down? and amuse them as well?

Simple: Start an audiobook!

That's correct Mom and Dad, audiobooks offer all of these advantages and more.

Did you know that your children's mental capacity will be higher than their reading ability for a sizable portion of their childhood? This means that even if they are unable to read, they can grasp content when it is read aloud to them. Interesting, huh?

The fact that my kids adore audiobooks makes me happy. I do a lot of reading aloud as a homeschooling mother of four children. My voice gets a short rest from audiobooks.

When you are running errands in the automobile, you can listen to books on tape. Favorite times to listen to stories are naps and nighttime. (If your children are anything like mine, you tire out long before they do, so books on tape are a lifesaver for lulling them to sleep after you've read them a bedtime story.)

Your child's capacity to listen will improve as a result of listening to audio books, which is an important skill for scholastic success.

Your child can hear engaging reading on audio books as well. Many of them are read aloud by the author or actors.

Audio books make reading enjoyable for kids who have trouble with it.If you want your child to love reading for the rest of their life, this is crucial!

While watching television teaches the brain to be lazy and rely just on images, listening to audio books teaches your youngster to imagine stories by utilizing their imagination instead of the graphics.

Why not use the play button to put your child's reading success on the fast track? Here are a few of my kids' top picks to get you started:

Collection of Jamie Lee Curtis (And I challenge you to keep your composure while listening to "Tell me about the night I was born"!)

Anna's New Coat

The oeuvre of Maurice Sendak
